Arabella is an experienced Childbirth Educator and her classes are lively, up-to-the-minute, and fun! Arabella is committed to providing women and partners with knowledge, combined with birth strategies to achieve a successful, wonderful, and “normal” birth outcome. Arabella is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) and Lamaze Educator Instructor with over a decade of teaching in the maternal health field. She has received additional training with Spinning Babies. Spinning Babies focuses on "techniques for comfort in pregnancy and smoother progress in childbirth". Private In-home classes cover: Prenatal Health and Exercise Normal labor and birth Positioning and movement for easier labor and birth. Relaxation and massage techniques to alleviate pain. How to be an effective and compassionate labor support person Communication skills with medical providers The importance of skin-to-skin with your newborn Information about medical procedures (epidural, induction, etc) - Risk vs Benefit Birth plans and birth bags (what to take to the hospital) Comprehensive handouts provided Class length: Approx 3-3.5 Hour
